When The Storms Comes

Where were you when the storms came?
With all the technology we have no power
to prevent it's anger.

Refusing to acknowledge the creator
in all things, big and small.
He allows us to come face to face with danger.

We believe that we are able to withstand
the awesome hands of God, as he
chastise us for our transgressions.

We have become students of our
own ignorance. We have learn nothing
from God's lessons.

Who makes the earth shake, and the
Heavens to release it's rain?

From the four corners of the earth,
the wind whispers his name.

GOD!!!

An Application Of Logic

The inevitable, mixed with
the unthinkable, equates to
the possibility of the inability
to prevent something from happening.

It is just a natural process of
deductions or additions caused
by the individual's ability or
inability to process information
that may or may not be productive.

How do you avoid coming face
to face with failure? Preparation,
preparation, preparations and more
preparation.

It is just the natural process of
an individual's commitment to
their own success, that is the
determining factor in their fail or
success equation.

So it appears that everything is
mathematically solvable. Let us
begin to work on life's equation.

One+one=two. Did you notice that
the second (one) is not equal to the
first (One)? If so, how can it be equal.

It really all depends on whether we are
adding numbers or making a judgement.

"BETRAYED BY HER EYES'

I have been unable to dream
for lack of images.
I am unable to retrieve from
the deep depositories of my mind,
for lack of a connection to
the unknown.

The intensity of her eyes
brings to bare a revelation of
truth and sanity.
When I have within my
grasp the true self, I
discover the reflection in
the mirror.

In the mirror, I can see only
her eyes. The entirety of
her being escapes me.
I am unable to pierce the
window of her soul.

Her eyes once again, betrays me.

To My Wife, On our Forty-first Wedding Anniversary (August 14, 1976)

I find you so special in every way.
I learned something special and
exciting about you each passing day.

I have watched you overcome pain and
sadness, I have witnessed your tears.
I have watched you grow during these
 forty-one years.

I have tried to be strong for you in
my weakest hour.
I have tried to nurture you as a
gardener would his flowers.

I have always seen in you a pure heart
and the uncanny ability to carry on the fight.
Even when things seem wrong,
they always turn out right.

I have always admired the greatness of
your stature and the strength of your convictions.
How you rely on past
experiences and your intuitions.

Our Anniversary is very special to me
because I have you in my life.
It is even more special to me because
you are my wife.

For you have proven time and time
again, for me you were ordain.
For we don't know the ways of God,
but the end is always the same.

God paints a perfect picture,
and provides a perfect picture frame.

Happy forty-first Anniversary,
Your Loving Husband
Gamaliel

An Unbeatable Spirit

In the not so distant past, I dare to remember
the long hot summers of toiling in the fields.
Pulling the ripe green corn from their husky bed,
cuts and scratches that refuse to heal.

There was no shade other then the stalks.
One would have to stay crouched, to dodge the sun.
The pain from walking all day, in a bent position,
only the years would reveal the damage done.

Determined I am that my spirit will not be lost,
in this battle being waged by those who abuse.
My back may bend, to straighten no more.
But my spirit will forever soar and endure.

The legacy I leave to the youth of today,
take no wage for that which burns inside.
You may shed your blood and your tears in
your struggles, in the end your spirit survives.
